Ahead of the summit, Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Ambassador of Tajikistan to Belarus. At the meeting, the Head of State noted that Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon could be said to have warned for decades about the extremely dangerous developments in the situation in Afghanistan. Today he informed the Belarusian President in detail about what is happening in the Central Asian region. In addition to the agenda of the CSTO and SCO summits, the bilateral dialogue was also discussed at the meeting. According to the diplomat, Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke highly of the Belarusian-Tajik cooperation. Over the last year the bilateral trade turnover tripled, and this year the growth continues.
