Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks in Minsk with Sultan of Oman
Minsk and Muscat are strengthening relations, turning political capital into economic results. On 6 October, the President of Belarus held talks in Minsk with the Sultan of Oman. Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is in Belarus on an official visit. Minsk is actively developing cooperation with the states of the Middle East. Oman is an important trading and investment partner in the Persian Gulf region. The dialogue began back in 2007, when the President of Belarus visited this country for the first time. Since then, relations between Minsk and Muscat have significantly strengthened. Aleksandr Lukashenko's visit to Oman last year marked a new stage in bilateral relations. At the moment, the parties have developed a cooperation plan and plan to implement the first joint projects. The countries seek cooperation in industry, agriculture, trade, and high technology. Oman plays a key logistical role for Belarus to enter the markets of India and East Africa. The parties expressed their support for cooperation between Belarusian and Omani enterprises.
