Aleksandr Lukashenko has made important personnel decisions
M. Lysenko became the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. New appointments in the media sphere: O. Anufrieva will head the Publishing House Belarus Segodnya. The local vertical of power has been updated — new chairmen of the district executive committees in Petrikov and Oshmyany. Personnel changes have affected the real sector of the economy: new managers at Belkommunmash and Lidselmash enterprises. Appointments in the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Ministry of Industry have also been agreed. The changes affected the diplomatic corps. Yevgeny Sobolevsky became the Ambassador to Libya (he heads the diplomatic mission of Belarus in Egypt, represents the country's interests in Algeria, Oman and Sudan). The Ambassador of Belarus to Uzbekistan, A. Ogorodnikov, will now also oversee cooperation with Afghanistan on a part-time basis. New appointments were given to representatives of the structural divisions of the President Administration, persons holding quota positions in interstate bodies.
