The President of Belarus has set the task of increasing trade with the Irkutsk region several times. This was announced following the visit of Aleksandr Lukashenko to the Russian region. The President held talks with Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev. The sides discussed joint projects, plans and further development of cooperation. The President visited the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The enterprise aimes to expand cooperation with Belarus. The President was presented with a model of the Su-30 fighter. Aleksandr Lukashenko also fulfilled one of his longtime dreams, as he visited the unique Lake Baikal.
