A.Lukashenko receives report of head of customs committee
The results of the work of the Belarusian customs over the past year were discussed at the Independence Palace by Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Head of the State Customs Committee. The President drew attention to the implementation of the instructions put before the committee. Thus, the export duties decreased by a third due to the fall in production volumes in the oil industry. In general, seventeen million tons of cargo was transported through Belarus. Most went to Russia. The upcoming world ice hockey championship was also discussed. The modernization of the Urbany checkpoint at the border with Latvia has already been completed. By the way, a total of €23 million of foreign investments, including from China, were attracted to modernize checkpoints.
