28.10.2019
NATO's activity at the borders of Belarus was the cause of a Presidential meeting. For a high-scale exercise, NATO's heavy armored vehicles came to a shooting range in Lithuania, just 15 kilometers off the Belarusian border. About 40 thousand personnel are to take part in the drill. The activity cannot but arouse anxiety. A.Lukashenko ordered the State Security council and the Defense ministry to submit proposals on the country's security. The fact, that the exercise will be held within immediate propinquity of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, should be also taken into consideration. It has a modern air defense, yet the President charged to reinforce its land protection.
