A. Lukashenko presents tractors to city of Shusha
As part of his state visit to Azerbaijan, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the revived territories of the country. The heads of state toured one of the residential quarters in the city of Shusha. The city was founded in the 18th century and this year it was declared the cultural capital of the Islamic world. Aleksandr Lukashenko presented Belarusian tractors to the city. Now restoration works are being carried out in Shusha, housing is being built. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev held official talks the day before. One of the topics was the post-war restoration of the territories. Earlier in December last year at a meeting in St. Petersburg, the President of Azerbaijan accepted the proposal of Belarus to participate in the modernization and construction of infrastructure facilities in Karabakh.
