A. Lukashenko names EAEU's main achievements

In his speech at the summit, the President of Belarus called stable functioning common domestic market and common customs space the main achievement of the Eurasian Economic Union. Over the past 7 years, the trade turnover of the Union with foreign partners has increased by more than $340 billion in absolute terms. The volume of mutual trade has doubled and amounted to about $85 billion. The EAEU has achieved a high level of food self-sufficiency, and almost 100%, in Belarus, said Aleksandr Lukashenko. The leaders of the EAEU countries adopted a declaration on the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union until 2030 and for the period up to 2045 at the summit in St. Petersburg. The heads of state also approved the instruction to develop measures to implement the declaration. The decision to approve the budget of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2024 was signed. Budget expenditures have been significantly increased to the level of 2023. In total, the parties considered more than two dozen issues at the meeting.
