Today, Alexander Lukashenko met with Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain archbishop Claudio Gugerotti. Formerly, he had served as the Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus. This time he came to Minsk as the Pop Francis's special envoy. Alexander Lukashenko thanked the Pope's special envoy for his visit to Minsk and called it a good sign. The Roman Catholic church is the second biggest denomination in Belarus. Over the past 20 years, the number of the Roman Catholic communities in the country increased four times and made 498.
