A. Lukashenko laid a wreath at the memorial complex "Mound of Glory" and made an appeal to compatriots
The speech of the Head of State during the laying ceremony on the Mound of Glory sounded emotional and powerful. One of the key messages is that neither the Belarusians, nor the Russians, nor the Ukrainians need a war, but we will not allow the revival of Nazism either. Belarus will continue to work to perpetuate the memory of the deeds and heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The time has come for the youth to take over from the older generations and maintain the Eternal Flame of this memory. To support it for the sake of peace on our land, A. Lukashenko noted. The head of state spoke with veterans, as well as with participants in the patriotic action "Train of Memory". Many initiatives were voiced by the youth, which the President liked. For example, Belarus and Russia should jointly declare the next year the Year of Historical Memory, as well as supplement the ensemble of the Mound of Glory with an alley of commemorative signs with earth capsules and a description of the exploits of the cities – owners of pennants "For courage and stamina during the Great Patriotic War".
