A. Lukashenko held negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov
The joint work of the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia is an example for other departments of our countries. President Alexander Lukashenko stated this when receiving the Russian Foreign Minister at the Palace of Independence. Sergei Lavrov is in Minsk on an official visit. Special thanks were conveyed to the Russian side for the work carried out to help Belarus join the SCO. Everything has already been done to ensure that our country becomes a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and fully participates in all integration decisions. Belarus, for its part, has fulfilled all its obligations. The President expressed hope that this will happen soon in Astana at the SCO summit. It is important for our country to be present at this influential platform not only from a political but also an economic point of view, noted Alexander Lukashenko. As for the Union State's foreign policy, the Head of State emphasized: Minsk and Moscow have similar positions on many international issues. Russia can always count on the support of Belarus. Today we are demonstrating to everyone how to build partnership.
