They want to drag Belarus into military conflict in order to bring escalation in the region to a catastrophic extent. The President of Belarus stated this during a meeting with the Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. Alexander Lukashenko also noted that there are a number of issues between Minsk and Moscow that need to be discussed. At the meeting they also spoke about the upcoming SCO summit in Astana, as well as the celebration of Independence Day of Belarus. Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in Minsk as the head of the Russian delegation on behalf of the President of Russia. The politician will take part in ceremonial events marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
