A.Lukashenko displays interest in taking part in Trade Unions Federation's congress
The work of Belarusian trade unions was in the focus of attention of the President during his working meeting with the head of the Trade Unions Federation. In late February, the Eighth Congress of the organization will be held. Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed interest in personal participation in the forum. In an interview with reporters, the Chairman of the Federation, Mikhail Orda, announced that the Federation would take control of the new remuneration system for public sector employees and, together with the General Prosecutor's Office, would monitor compliance with the new Labor Code. It comes into force on January 28. The document's 30 articles reflect more than forty initiatives of the Trade Unions Federation, which will help better protect the rights of employees.
