А. Lukashenko deems it necessary to adjust standardization in construction sector

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited Belgips Plant. Today, it is Belarus’ only producer of gypsum building materials. Last year the company finished modernization and in August 2019 reached its production capacities. The building materials market is highly competitive, because they rely on innovative products. The plant is export-oriented with the main consumers in Ukraine, the Baltic countries and Poland. During the visit, the President talked about the situation in the industry as a whole. The head of state instructed to review the legal framework in the construction sector with a view to abandon excessive standardization and transit to European standards. Aleksandr Lukashenko talked to employees of the company.
