Speaking at the opening of the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Minsk, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the situation in the world is characterized by an extremely high degree of confrontation. All this requires the CSTO countries to further consolidate efforts and strengthen the organization as an integral element of ensuring security on the Eurasian continent. The CSTO summit held in Minsk actually ends the Belarusian chairmanship in the organization. The work done during the year of the Belarusian chairmanship was highly appreciated, which was emphasized by the summit participants. Kazakhstan will assume the functions of chairman next year.
