A. Lukashenko called a meeting on forecast documents

Detailed forecasts of the economy for the coming year were discussed with the President. Members of the government, governors, and senior officials were invited to the meeting at the Palace of Independence. The agenda includes draft documents on the socio—economic development of the country, as well as the budget for 2026. Aleksandr Lukashenko assesses the current state of affairs in the economy as ambiguous. On the one hand, there is an obvious result: real wages and general incomes of the population are steadily growing. Gold and foreign exchange reserves are increasing at a record rate. On the other hand, there is a current downturn in a number of traditional industries. Speaking about the draft documents under discussion, Alexander Lukashenko demands that the forecast figures for next year contain a realistic but tense scenario.
