A. Lukashenko: Belarus has increased the proportion of modern weapons in the army
The President of Belarus made this statement at a meeting on state armament programs and state defense procurement order. The Head of State emphasized the importance of the army's technical equipment level based on the results of the state armament program for 2021-2025, as well as the tasks in this area for the current five-year period. The President noted that the main emphasis in the previous program was on strengthening the combat readiness of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces. He also noted that, to improve mobility, mechanized units have received modern armored vehicles, including Belarusian-made ones. The equipment of military personnel has been improved. Significant attention is being paid to the supply of new communications equipment.
