A. Lukashenko: Belarus and Russia need to focus primarily on their own
The Head of State made this statement at a meeting with Russia's Kirov Oblast Governor A. Sokolov. The President noted that Belarus has a sufficient number of high-quality goods, and their high quality is confirmed at the state level. The State Quality Mark is awarded annually, and this year's nominees have been announced. Among them, for example, is the BELGEE automobile, which is among the best-selling automobiles in Russia. According to the President, there are also examples of joint Belarusian-Russian production, including in shipbuilding, aircraft manufacturing (the aircraft Osvey), and the military-industrial complex. The President cited the microelectronics industry, which is in demand in both military and civilian technology, as an example of successful cooperation with Russia in the area of import substitution.
