A. Lukashenko, at a meeting with representatives of the National Council of Rectors, ordered the creation of a working group to review the education system
Belarus has preserved the best Soviet traditions in higher education. Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting with members of the National Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions. This is why people come to our country to study. 30 thousand students from more than 100 countries is a decent figure. And the export of educational services last year amounted to more than $90 million. 2023 was dedicated to solving the most pressing issues in education. We made final decisions on organizing the university admission campaign. Now the approaches will be polished. The meeting discussed not only trends in higher education, improving the quality of educational programs, but also many other related issues. The Head of State is waiting for a clear algorithm for solving them from the participants of the National Council of Rectors. Alexander Lukashenko encourages full concentration: one cannot relax and underestimate the challenges of today. Education, according to the Head of State, has never been and cannot be outside of politics. Everyone involved in the educational process also shapes the worldview of young people. The President demands increased ideological and educational work. Universities must train personnel to meet the needs of the domestic real sector.
