A. Lukashenko announces a number of new appointments
Appointments Monday at the Palace of Independence. Almost two dozen people are on the list for appointments and approvals. A reshuffle in the local vertical of power. For instance, new deputy governors were appointed in Brest and Gomel regions, and first deputy chairman was replaced in Mogilev region executive committee. In Gomel, the mayor's chair will be taken by V. Privalov, and the vacancy of deputy mayor of Minsk was also closed. As of today, new heads of Zhabinka, Malorita, Berioza and Svetlogorsk districts have been appointed. Minsk Motor Plant also got a new head, previously this position was vacant. A. Botvinnikov became the company’s Director General. The management of several ministries and agencies has also been reshuffled, with new deputy heads appointed at the Ministry of Construction and Architecture and the Ministry of Justice, as well as in the Higher Attestation Commission. Three quota positions in the Standing Committee of the Union State have been filled according to the plan.
