A. Lukashenko and V. Putin held talks in Moscow
The future of the union programs, as well as relations between Minsk and Moscow were discussed yesterday by Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. The meeting took place in the Russian capital. The leaders had many things to consider: from the situation in the region and the economy to the joint arrangement of the taxation system. The President of Belarus noted the progress on roadmaps. The leaders also touched upon geopolitical issues: the aggravation of the situation in Donbass has already affected the calm in the region. Vladimir Putin noted that he is ready to sit down at the negotiating table with the President of Ukraine. Belarus is ready to continue to help with the negotiating platform on the principle of neutrality. But in general, the heads of state focused on the economy and the most popular issues: vaccination of the population, the removal of sanitary barriers and the opening of borders.
