The President of Belarus held a telephone conversation with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated his counterpart on the convincing victory in the presidential election. The parties also spoke about the development of bilateral relations, events in the region and the world. In particular, the top officials discussed in detail the situation in Kyrgyzstan and touched upon the events in Nagorno-Karabakh. As for the Belarusian-Tajik cooperation, its character was defined as dynamic. Despite the global economic crisis, the countries are able to significantly increase their bilateral trade.
