Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Russia V. Putin on the Unity Day, noting that the integration project of our countries has helped to gain invaluable experience in various spheres of state-building, unlock the huge creative potential of the Belarusian and Russian economies, and create tools that make it possible to jointly solve a wide range of tasks of any complexity. The Head of State addressed a special message of congratulations to the peoples of Belarus and Russia. A. Lukashenko emphasised: "We are bound by long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual support, which have embraced the greatness of common victories, the burden of severe trials, the bitterness of incredible losses and the joy of creation. Today we are building our future together, relying on mutual trust and support. The implementation of large-scale allied programmes, cooperation in the spheres of economy, science and technology open new, almost limitless horizons of opportunities for the Belarusian-Russian partnership. Successes in nuclear power engineering, space research, mechanical engineering and microelectronics have become important steps on the way to achieving technological sovereignty and import independence".
