А. Lukashenko sent a letter of congratulations to Pope Francis

The President of Belarus has congratulated Pope Francis on the anniversary of the solemn beginning of his pontificate. "Your wise attitude to the issues of supporting good-neighbourliness and mutual understanding between peoples, the focus of spiritual efforts on preaching the ideals of mercy and love of neighbour are appreciated and respected in our country", the message of greetings reads. "I am confident that your pastoral activity will continue to contribute to strengthening peace and harmony, preserving Christian values. People in Belarus feel your concern for the well-being of believers and the unity of our society", the President emphasised. Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Pope Francis health and longevity.
