А. Lukashenko meets with the delegation of the Pan-African Parliament
Belarus supports its partners from Africa in their endeavour to produce food products from domestic resources and to be independent of external factors. A statement to this effect was made by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at his meeting with the delegation of the Pan-African Parliament. Fifty four states take part in the activities of this body. The tasks of the Pan-African Parliament include ensuring peace, security, stability and economic development on the continent. Last November, the Belarusian anthem was played for the first time on the platform of the Pan-African Parliament, when the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus received the status of an observer to this organisation. Our cooperation with African countries looks promising, the head of state said. Aleksandr Lukashenko invited African delegations to attend the BELAGRO international agricultural exhibition in Minsk in June this year.
