А. Lukashenko meets with Governor of Russia's Magadan Oblast S. Nosov
The distance of 11 thousand kilometers should not become an obstacle in the development of ties. Minsk does not divide Russian regions into remote and close ones. It is possible and necessary to work with everyone. In this particular case, the President sees good reserves in trade. At present Belarusian goods are imported to Magadan Oblast mainly through the central regions of Russia. There are points of direct growth in a wide range of areas, from industrial products to food and cosmetics. Moreover, with the withdrawal of Western brands, the markets have become more capacious and profitable. There are specific proposals in each direction, with attention to the peculiarities of the Far North. Belarus can build various facilities, help with the development of the power supply system, offer the widest range of goods, set up quality dairy processing companies locally. Import of fish products and development of tourism look promising.
