А. Lukashenko holds talks with IAEA Director General

President of Belarus has met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. A. Lukashenko stressed that Belarus has been a member of the IAEA since the establishment of the organization and attaches great importance to cooperation, especially since the country has become a nuclear power by building a safe nuclear power plant. Russia and the IAEA have provided great assistance in this endeavor. The President noted that Belarus is committed to peace and will do its utmost to ensure regional nuclear security. Rafael Grossi, in turn, pointed to Belarus' approach as a model of cooperation with the IAEA and nuclear safety experts.
