А. Lukashenko and V. Putin held a telephone conversation
On 7 April evening, Vladimir Putin called Aleksandr Lukashenko and thanked him for the detention of the largest shipment of especially dangerous cargo — explosives. It was attempted to smuggle it into Russia. The attempt was stopped by the Belarusian customs. It has been established that this is a powerful explosive substance, a small amount of which can lead to serious consequences. The President of Russia asked to thank and, as far as possible, encourage the specialists and experts who discovered the dangerous cargo. In addition, the Heads of State discussed upcoming meetings, including one in Volgograd at the end of April, agreeing to discuss in detail current issues of cooperation and exchange views on a wide range of topics in general. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also discussed the Belarusian-Russian exercise "Zapad-2025" and briefly touched upon the situation in the special military operation zone.
