A large-scale renovation is expecting Belarusian power grid

The country will increase the volume of energy infrastructure reconstruction by 1.5 times over the next five years. The state programme plans to modernize over 100 electrical substations eight of which will be digital. The upgrade will also cover over 16.000 km of electrical grids. Taking into account other programmes the total scope of reconstruction over five years should reach at least 17.500 km. Belarus is considering cooperation with Chinese partners for certain projects. The parties are currently discussing the modernization of three energy infrastructure facilities in Grodno Oblast.
