Results of talks between Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia in Moscow

Trade and new industrial cooperation projects were the central topics of the talks between the Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia. The countries’ economies have passed a serious test of strength. Last year's GDP in both Belarus and Russia grew steadily. The head of the Belarusian government is convinced that there is a margin of safety. Now it is important to work harmoniously on common challenges. Thus, the parties agreed on mutual recognition of electronic signature. In addition, they signed an agreement on the production of Osvey light multipurpose aircraft and approved a set of measures to stimulate investment activity. Roman Golovchenko urged Russians to invest more actively in tourism and health improvement in Belarus. It is necessary to continue the search for mutually beneficial projects in the field of critical import substitution. The parties discussed the implementation of major joint projects in the financial, industrial, energy and transport sectors. Thus, Russia and Belarus have started preparations for the construction of a multimodal port in Russia's Murmansk region for the transshipment of Belarusian cargoes.
