Due to the proximity of the borders, the region is very interesting for Russians. One can not only improve one’s health at Belarusian health resorts, but also travel to historical places. Among those is Belarus’ most ancient town of Turov. Or Viatka, which, like Moscow, has its own Red Square. And, of course, Gomel itself with its main attraction, an architectural monument from the 18th-19th centuries, the Rumyantsev-Paskevich Palace.
