Where to see the history of Minsk
Look at Minsk as it was 50 years ago, or what the sounds look like. The Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery hosts the exhibition "City. Painting. Architecture". The exposition is dedicated to the work of the Minsk architect Sergei Baglasov. The master worked on the restoration of the historical center of the capital. Thanks to his work, the appearance of the entire Upper Town was restored. Everyone knows the Trinity Suburb, the Minsk City Hall or the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit – their restoration took place under the leadership of Baglasov. The exposition presents rare photographs from the master's personal archive. They show historical buildings of Minsk before restoration work. In addition to architecture, Baglasov was engaged in painting and sculpture. You can see it at the exhibition. On the installation of various sculptures of the city of Minsk, Baglasov worked in close cooperation with artists and sculptors. The exposition also exhibits some of the works of his colleagues.
