In Argentina, an unknown portrait of the renowned Belarusian writer Yakub Kolas has been found. The graphic image is depicted on the cover of the Belarusian illustrated calendar of 1944. It was published in Buenos Aires on the initiative of our diaspora. And only now, in the jubilee year for the writer, this issue has been brought to our country from Argentina. Literary scholars are studying the portrait and hope to learn the name of the artist and find the original portrait. The picture will be shown to the public on Monday, the day of the memory of the national classic.
