Unique archaeological artifacts discovered on site of ancient Minsk

The Museum of History of Minsk is going to increase its funds with unique exhibits. Hundreds of archaeological artifacts have been discovered on the site of ancient Minsk, during construction works. Today’s Osvobozhdenia Street used to be the outskirts of the medieval town in the 17th and 18th centuries. A large number of objects mostly referring to the everyday life of people of that time have been found in the cultural layer of this period. Among them is a forge and a number of horseshoes. All findings will be transported to the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. After the examination, the artifacts will be transferred to the museum.
