Two new unique icons added to collection of National Art Museum of Belarus
17.07.2018
The collection of the National Art Museum of Belarus grows larger with the arrival of two new icons, St. Nicholas of the early 20th century and the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the 19th century. Masterpieces of religious art were bought from private collectors by a patron who wished to remain anonymous. The icons were painted in the Russian Orthodox Old-Rite Church tradition in the territory of Belarus. The exhibits will be made available in the new building of the Museum Quarter, which is under development right now.
