Today,
the first Bible printed by Francisk Skorina will be delivered in Minsk. Since the mid-19
century, it has been stored in the Historical
Museum in Moscow. Also, this copy of the Bible is
unique in that it contains an engraving depicting Francisk Skorina himself. He
was the only author who placed his portrait in the Holy Scripture. Francisk
Skorina’s Bible will be delivered to the National Airport of Minsk. To keep the
500-year-old unique edition safe, it will be transported in a special fire-safe
suitcase. The Bible will be exhibited at the National History Museum of Belarus
until December.
