Today marks 80 years since Vladimir Muliavin's birth
12.01.2021
Legendary Belarusian singer and songwriter Vladimir Muliavin would have turned 80 today. The People's Artist of the USSR and Belarus founded the first band that became famous all over the world and gathered thousands-strong audiences. In the 1960s, the composer revived Belarusian folklore in the trendy Beatles-like rhythms, which at that time was a risky project. "Kasiu Yas kaniushynu" is one of the most recognizable national melodies. Muliavin has always been faithful to the Belarusian music scene. Today in honor of the artist a memorable concert will be held at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society.
