The horrors of war, the Chernobyl tragedy and devotion to the native land. The National Library of Belarus hosts the exhibition "The Living Element of Creativity". The exposition is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian writer Ivan Ptashnikov. Among contemporary prose writers of Belarus, he stands out for his originality. Ptashnikov is a bright representative of the generation of children of the war. The life and work of people, their struggle for independence and the restoration of their native land shaped the creative nature of the writer. Novels, novellas and short stories by Ivan Ptashnikov have become widely known not only in Belarus, but also far beyond its borders.
