The folk workshop "Matrushka" celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Seven needlewomen of different ages mastered weaving on looms and weaving belts on a textiles reed. The group works at the House of Culture of the village Kommuna, Lyuban region. "Matrushka" actively participates in festivals, fairs and competitions. The Virok group, an association for children and adolescents, works at the workshop, where local girls are taught the secrets of weaving. Together with experienced craftsmen, they weave tablecloths, napkins, bedspreads, belts. Their special creative pride is dolls made with their own hands and dressed in national costumes.
