Relaxing concert at Belarusian State Philharmonic Society
From the mysterious and majestic baroque to colorful impressionism. A journey through the epochs is offered as part an unusual project "Music Therapy" at the Belarusian State Philharmonics. The music by Handel, Bach, Rachmaninov, Chopin is performed using more than just classical instruments. The project also makes use of sound therapy means, such as singing bowls, kartals, chakraphones, as well as the soothing sound of rain and ocean. All this is complemented by video footage from some of the most picturesque palces of the planet. The main instrument is a concert organ, one of the largest in the CIS, featuring more than 6,000 pipes. The sounds of the organ are said to help harmonize the human psyche and emotions and are considered to be a conductor of "space – earth – space" energy. The "Music Therapy" project will be hosting concerts every month. The next program will feature Renaissance and Baroque music.
