Refurbishment of XII century Kalozha church in Grodno nearing completion

Refurbishment of the 12-th century Kalozha church in Belarus' regional center Grodno is nearing completion. The wooden southern wall has been replaced. It had been damaged by flood in the 19-th century. The territory surrounding the ancient shrine is under beautification now. Light fixtures and communications are being changed, the pathways being cobbled. The works are under archeologists' control. They determine the value of possible finds. The next stage of restoration of the Kalozha church is the renewal of its interior decoration. All wooden elements are planned to be restored. The shrine is a favorite place for citizens and tourists.
