Premiere of "Sleeping Beauty" at Bolshoi Theater of Belarus
The Bolshoi Theater of Belarus disturbs the dreams of the beauty from the ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Marius Petipa for the fifth time. Today, the choreographic text is being adopted at rehearsal rooms, and the stage costumes for the ballet extravaganza are created in the painting workshop. In professional circles, the "Sleeping Beauty" of 2022 has already been dubbed a performance wrapped in kilometers of tulle. Each tutu is made of at least 16 meters of fabric. In total, 325 artists will get their new costumes ahead of the premiere. The preliminary lineup of artists for the main parts has already been approved. As many as 5 ballerinas compete for the role of Aurora, and 4 principal dancers are in line to get the part of Prince Desire. The premiere directed by Valentin Elizariev will be unveiled on the eve of World Theater Day on March 26.
