Pictures by Paris School maestro return to homeland

The collection of the National Art Museum has been enriched with authentic works by Pinchus Kremegne. For a long time the name of the Paris School maestro was classifed in Belarus. He painted his masterpieces at the famous artist's colony, the Beehive, at the same time with with Modigliani, Chagall, Soutine and Tsadkin. Kremegne's pictures fetch tens of thousands of dollars. This painter and sculptor originally comes from the village of Zheludok in the Grodno region of Belarus. "Still Life with Apples" and "City Landscape" have now returned to their homeland with the assistance of the Swiss Embassy. The paintings were purchased at auction in Israel. By the way, this is the fifth gift from the tandem of the Swiss diplomatic corps and honorary consul of Belarus in Lausanne.
