People's Artist of Belarus Viktor Manayev turns 60

Today People's Artist of Belarus Viktor Manayev turns 60. Among his characters are Mikita Znosak from classic play «The Locals» by Yanka Kupala, Lionka the Dandelion from «Privates» by Dudarev. His career as theater and cinema actor evolved from the youngest winner of the State Prize to the generally acknowledged celebrity. The favorite of the theatrical audiences, over the decades he created two hundred characters on the stage of the Kupala Theater, played over 50 roles in movies. Among the films with his participation are «August of 1944», «Go and See», «Beliye Rosy. The Comeback». He started his career in the Puppet Theater. Manayev became popular for his comedic and tragic roles.
