The People’s Artist of Belarus Pavel Maslenikov would have turned 105 years old today. The collection of the classic of the realistic painting includes more than a thousand works. Some of them are exhibited in the National Historical Museum. In the works of the talented painter three are three elements: Earth, water and the sky. The master imparted knowledge not only to students, but also to his children. As a result the famous dynasty has appeared. His daughter is an art historian, his son is an associate professor at the Academy of Arts, and his grandson is a young artist. The national art and historical museums of Belarus have prepared exhibitions timed to the jubilee of Pavel Maslenikov that focus on the Small Motherland theme.
