Opening of 30th Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk International Festival of Arts

The opening ceremony of the 30th Slavianski Bazaar festival will take place in Vitebsk today. It will feature Belarusian, Russian and foreign artists, including Nikolai Baskov, Larisa Dolina, Elena Vaenga, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Ruslan Alekhno, the legendary Ottawan band. One of the central events of the festival is the singing contest. Its participants are representing 15 countries, from Russia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Germany to Cuba and Ecuador. Today the singers will have a second run with the Presidential Orchestra in Minsk, and then all the delegations will leave for Vitebsk.
