Magic power of whisper
13.09.2022
The project by Sergei Lesket "Shept" ("Whisper") is dedicated to the ancient Belarusian tradition – to heal with spells and incantations. For nine years, the photographer explored the world of village magic. He traveled from village to village in search of conjurers, healers and herbalists. The exhibition presents a series of portraits of the bearers of the most closed and protected tradition – healing with a word. You can also see some attributes of healers’ sacred rituals. Photos, videos, objects and sounds will allow the viewer to get in touch with ancient Belarusian knowledge.
