Laureates of 6th National Theater Prize to be named today
The winners of the National Theater Prize will be named tonight at the Kupala Theater in Minsk. The short list features premieres staged in Belarus from January 1, 2018 until the starting date of the competition. In total, 70 performances were submitted by public and private theaters and cultural organizations at the first stage. Only half of them made it into the final round. The contest features 4 sections, including "Drama Theater", "Puppet Theater", "Musical Theater" and "Performance for Children and Youth". Each section also has personal nominations. Since the end of September, the finalists have presented their performances to the public and the jury, the most recent show took place this week, and it was only the day before that the expert committee decided on the awards.
