Italian director staging "The Barber of Seville" in Minsk

Cultural diplomacy in spite of the Iron Curtain. Aldo Tarabello, an Italian director, brings "The Barber of Seville" to the Bolshoi Theatre. Belarusian singers will be performing against the backdrop of Italian paintings. Rehearsals are now underway. Russian artists have also taken part in the casting. Therefore, we can safely say that the premiere is international. The director will return to Minsk in May. By that time the stage sets will have been designed, also by Italians. It is going to be the fourth and the last premiere of the anniversary season at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. It is scheduled for June.
