Mir and Nesvizh Castles, Belovezhskaya Pushcha and Struve Geodetic Arc have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. By 2020, experts will prepare at least five files to expand this list comprising the legacy of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the Kolozhskaya Church in Grodno, the buildings in Synkovichi and Murovanka, as well as the August Canal. The national programs "Culture of Belarus" and "Castles of Belarus" aim at preservation of historical sites. Currently, forty sites are undergoing restoration.
